PAGE CAREFULLY. ITS PROVISIONS CONTAIN THE RIGHTS AND
OBLIGATIONS OF YOU AND THE OTHER PERSONS INCLUDED IN
THE HOLIDAY TO US AND OUR RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS TO
YOU AND YOUR PARTY. UPON OUR ACCEPTANCE OF YOUR BOOKING
THESE PROVISIONS WILL FORM PART OF YOUR CONTRACT WITH
US, TASTES OF LANGUEDOC AN AFFILIATE OF GLOBAL TRAVEL
MARKETING LTD. WE ARE A COMPANY REGISTERED IN ENGLAND
AND WALES NO 731756528.
HOW YOU MAKE YOUR CONTRACT WITH US
When you make a
booking, the person to whom an email confirmation is
sent is the 'Lead Name' and he/she must have authority
to accept these booking conditions on behalf of your
party. A confirmation email is issued to the Lead Name,
which forms the basis of the booking. Please check
this carefully. Whilst we make every effort to ensure
accuracy, the onus is on you, the client, to ensure
your reservation is correct. Any discrepancies must
be notified to us immediately. We regret we cannot
accept liability if we are not notified of inaccuracies
within 7 days of receipt.
You are advised
to take a copy of the confirmation email with you on
your holiday.
A contract shall
only exist between Tastes of Languedoc and the customer
(including all in the party) when Tastes of Languedoc
receives the customer's full payment. Tastes of Languedoc
cannot be held responsible for flights or transfers
made outside the company. Receipt of cheque or direct
bank transfer constitutes acceptance of our booking
conditions .
PAYMENT
All Tastes
of Languedoc holidays must be paid
IN FULL at least four weeks prior to departure.
You can either pay when reserving the holiday or,
a reminder will be sent five weeks prior to travelling.
If we do not receive the full payment by the due
date you will be liable for an administration charge
of £25.
CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS BY YOU
All changes should
be made directly with Tastes of Languedoc.
The first change is free of charge; all subsequent
amendments are charged at £15 per change. Cancellation
is deemed to have taken place for a section of a booking
where there is withdrawal from a whole activity, reduction
of an activity numbers below provider's minimums, or
reduction in a whole night's accommodation.
All cancellations
must be received by email or telephone immediately.
Charges are as follows
14-0 days before
departure 50% of full payment
14-28 days before
departure 25% of full payment
More than 28 days
before departure full refund of full payment
Remember that if
you cancel for a reason covered by your insurance policy
you should make a claim against the insurance company
directly.
CHANGES BY US
If for any reason
beyond the control of Tastes of Languedoc the
accommodation is required to be changed, Tastes
of Languedoc reserves the right to offer alternative
accommodation of the same or superior rating at no
extra cost to the client. Should it not be possible
to offer an alternative other than a lower rated accommodation, Tastes
of Languedoc will refund the difference.
The customer can select whether to accept the change
or to cancel the reservation without incurring any
cancellation charges. Compensation arrangements do
not apply to circumstances beyond our control. We can
cancel your holiday in the following circumstances:
war, threat of war, riots, civil strikes or terrorist
activity, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disasters,
fire, airport closures, bad weather conditions and
similar events beyond our control.
If we breach our
contract with you in any other way we will pay appropriate
compensation if this has affected the enjoyment of
your holiday save that we will not be liable to you
for damage caused by any failure to perform our contract
or improper performance if it is attributable to:
- Your own
fault or that of a member of your party
- A third party
unconnected with the holiday services we have contracted
to provide you with and which is unforeseeable or unavoidable;
or - Unusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond
our control, which could not have been avoidable even
if all reasonable care had been taken
- Events which neither
our suppliers nor we could have foreseen or forestalled
even if we had taken all reasonable care.
INSURANCE
It is the responsibility
of the customer to ensure they have booked an insurance
policy with adequate cover for European travel.
FLIGHTS/TRAVEL
The responsibility
for transportation from the UK to France remains with
the customer . We cannot take any responsibility for
late arrivals or problems with your chosen carrier.
However, as is our policy, we will do our utmost to
help put you in touch with flights and any transport
requirements at the destination.
Flights - These
can be obtained in many ways and are explained in detail
on the website
Please remember
that this is purely a service that we provide for which
we do not make a charge or take any responsibility
whatsoever. The contract will exist between you and
your supplier.
SPECIAL REQUESTS
Please inform us
of any special request when you confirm your holiday
booking. These details must be inserted in the comments
section on your Booking Form. Although we will endeavour
to meet special requests this is dependent on our suppliers
and we cannot guarantee that your requirements will
be met.
ACCOMMODATION DESCRIPTIONS
Descriptions of
the accommodation represent an evaluation by which
attempts to reflect the style and atmosphere of the
accommodation. Since the views expressed are subjective,
it is appreciated that not everyone will agree with
them and they should be read in this light. We cannot
undertake to provide the same rooms as may be shown
in the photograph in the details.
ACTIVITIES AND PRICES
Tastes of
Languedoc website descriptions reflect our
understanding of each activity we offer and are given
in good faith. We reserve the right to vary prices
without notice because of fluctuations in the exchange
rate.
YOUR FEEDBACK
Tastes of
Languedoc will appreciate feedback - good
or bad. If you have any cause for complaint during
your break, we strongly advise you to raise it with
us in France at the time. If it is considered reasonable
to seek redress from us on the spot, it is generally
not considered reasonable to seek redress from us
at a later date. If problems cannot be resolved there
and then, please notify Tastes of Languedoc by
email within 14 days and we will do our best to reply
within 7 days. Failure to follow this procedure excludes
us from liability.
